From Invisible to Page One: How a New Website Transformed Kelly Kessen's Practice
When Kelly Kessen came to Soul Space Creative, she already had something most practitioners spend years building: a deeply rooted practice, a clear philosophy, and a loyal community of clients who trusted her with their health. What she didn't have was a website that could tell that story.
As a licensed Classical Five-Element Acupuncturist and Functional Medicine Practitioner based in Boulder, Colorado, Kelly's work sits at a rare intersection of ancient wisdom and modern science. Her approach is poetic, intuitive, and deeply personal. Her old website? It wasn't keeping up.
She was ready for something that truly reflected who she had become, and what she was stepping into next.
The Challenge
Kelly's practice had evolved significantly. Her offerings had expanded to include functional medicine, energy medicine, and the Harmonize Program, a six-month immersive healing journey she had created for clients ready to go beyond surface-level wellness. But her website wasn't communicating any of that.
Beyond the design, there was an SEO problem. Kelly was sitting at an average search position of 19, buried on page two of Google for her core keywords. For a practitioner whose dream clients were actively searching for her services in Boulder, that invisibility had a real cost.
She needed a complete brand and website overhaul: new copy, a new design, and a strategic SEO foundation built from the ground up.
The Approach

Brand and Copy
Kelly's essence is nature-rooted, soulful, and scientifically grounded. The copy we developed together reflects exactly that. From the homepage headline ("Reconnect with your innate wholeness") to service page descriptions that blend clinical precision with poetic language, every word was written to speak directly to her ideal client, someone who speaks to trees, trusts their gut, and wants their healing to feel like a return to the wild.
We gave each of her three core services its own dedicated page with clear, conversion-focused structure: what the service is, who it's for, what to expect, and how to get started.
Design
The visual direction we landed on was nature-rooted and editorial. An earthy, organic palette. Flowing, full-width nature photography. Clean typography with enough white space for the content to breathe. The result feels grounded, premium, and completely aligned with the healing experience Kelly offers in person.
Navigation was simplified so that new visitors could orient themselves quickly and find the right service without friction. A prominent "Schedule a Call" CTA appears throughout the site, making it easy for aligned clients to take the next step.
SEO
Every page was built with search in mind. We researched the specific keywords Kelly's ideal clients are typing into Google when they are looking for acupuncture and functional medicine in Boulder, and we wove those naturally throughout the page copy, headings, meta titles, and descriptions. Image alt text, URL structure, and internal linking were all optimized as part of the build.
The Results
Within 12 months of launching the new site, the numbers spoke for themselves.

Average search position moved from 19 to 3, jumping from page two to the top of page one on Google
